DO YOU RECOGNIZE YOURSELF IN THIS 1966 REUNION PICTURE? Huntingdon Academy was the result of a meeting in 1850. It was the first English Language Academy west of the Richelieu in the southern portion of Quebec. It was built in 1851 under the guidance of Rev. R.P. Muir. The first building was demolished in 1958 when another wing was added. The Academy served both Protestants & Catholics as a high school until a Catholic school was built. One of the principals during the Academy's history was J.B. McMillan. As for student/staff lists, perhaps a letter to the Chateauguay Valley Historical Society would be be useful. A member of CVHS, Roland Greenbank, was a principal of the Huntingdon Academy.
